Throughout the ages, Chartres has been home to the Sacred Feminine.  Whether it be the ancient goddess venerated at the well, the vestiges of Roman worship of the goddess Isis or the uninterrupted adoration of Mother Mary through the centuries of Christian worship, pilgrims always come to soak in the beauty of the perennial Feminine presence.  These days with our growing appreciation of Mary Magdelene, Chartres offers us glimpses into her presence in our world.

A four day version of the Walking A Sacred Path Program will begin with an orientation and opening reception.  On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, there will be seminars with small group time.  Tuesday evening holds a special walk through the Cathedral Crypt as a pilgrim in the house of Mary.  Wednesday afternoon, Lauren will lead an orientation to the labyrinth in Chartres followed by an evening of labyrinth walking in Chartres Cathedral with candlelight, and special music.  On Thursday evening will be a reception and celebratory dinner.

This is a once in a lifetime experience that participants are drawn to repeat.  Join us in this ancient place of refuge and renewal so needed in our times.

Led by Judith Tripp - Judith has been offering this material in her Meeting Mary as a workshop in Chartres since 2009. Her deep Marian devotion has been nurtured in her yearly pilgrimages to Chartres since 1999.  Her background as a transpersonal psychotherapist, musician, and student of the Sacred Feminine brings a unique combination of personal insight, historical knowledge and musical inspiration to her work.

Judith will be joined by Ruth Cunningham providing the music of Mary.

Safety Concerns?

As you probably know, the U.S. government is continuing its Worldwide Caution with respect to foreign travel in general. France is not specifically mentioned in the latest update. On a separate website, the U.S. embassy in France notes that the French government is continuing its reinforced security measures. The State Department provides a program for concerned travelers to receive security messages and make it easier to locate you in an emergency: see Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
