BEING RESCHEDULED:How the Labyrinth Invites Awareness of Kincentricity * through the Joy of Presence * with Veriditas Advanced Certified Facilitators: Christine Favreau & Mary Ann Wamhoff

  • 09 Oct 2021
  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (EDT)
  • Silver Bay YMCA, 87 Silver Bay Road, Silver Bay, NY 12874

Join us for a day combining beauty, magic, and mystery! This one-day workshop invites participants to experience the awareness of how we are each in relationship with everything and everyone around us, intertwined with the world and all beings. Each piece of Nature is unique with its own intelligence of the heart. Presence is the practice of looking beyond the usual constructs of separation (“You’re a tree; I’m a human.”) and realizing this Oneness (“We are comprised of the same elements and depend upon one another.”). We are invited to engage with this web of being through our senses rather than intellect. The labyrinth provides the safe space and time in which our basic nature, unified with Nature, can emerge.

This event is a Veriditas Approved Qualifying Workshop for attending a Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator Training.

Activities will include:

  • An opening ritual in which we construct an altar (Please bring a small object that symbolizes why you are here.)
  • The experience of Presence through a multi-sensory exercise of Nature Bathing (no actual bath tubs involved!)
  • Writing to process and concretize what has been learned and experienced (can be quite brief)
  • A labyrinth walk
  • Creating your own simple dot art mandala (need not be artistically talented!)
  • A closing ritual to synthesize our day

You will receive:

  • A beautiful environment at Silver Bay in glorious Autumn
  • A basic introduction to the labyrinth that prepares you for facilitator training if desired
  • A journal
  • An organizing folder
  • Art materials for the project
  • Writing prompts, examples, and assistance
  • Time to network

“Walking the labyrinth immediately takes us into a process world where we can see between the lines of linear thought through to our imagination and intuition.”
—Lauren Artress

Nature Bathing gives us ways to remember how all of Nature is connected, constantly listening and speaking, deserving our utmost respect.”
—Christine Favreau

“Walking the labyrinth and engaging in creative activities enable us to access our intuitions and respond.”

—Mary Ann Wamhoff
