The Labyrinth: Breathing Space for Heart and Mind. A Veriditas approved qualifying workshop with Veriditas Faculty, Jan Sellers

  • 15 Feb 2020
  • 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (UTC-00:00)
  • St. Benet's Chaplaincy, Queen Mary University London, 327A Mile End Road London E1 4NT United Kingdom

This one-day workshop provides an introduction to labyrinth walking as a pathway to quietness in today's hectic world.

A labyrinth has just one path to the centre and out again, and can provide a peaceful, meditative experience. We will share a guided, indoor labyrinth walk together. Discover the history of labyrinths, found around the world in many cultures. Find out how a labyrinth can be a peaceful resource for you, and how labyrinths are making a difference today, in hospitals, universities, schools, faith settings and more. Everyone is welcome.

Our venue is the Chaplaincy at Queen Mary University London: the University Chaplaincy is kindly hosting this independent event. We will use their informal sitting-room and the wonderful St. Benet's Chapel, Grade II English Heritage listed due to its modernist design and murals. As an 'extra', we hope to be able to visit a nearby outdoor labyrinth, either during the workshop or immediately afterwards (information to follow).

Please note that both standard (£35) and concessionary rates are available for this workshop, using the link below. Concessions: £20 (low income including students, seniors, gig economy).

This workshop is designed for all who are interested in learning more about labyrinths. For anyone who might consider future training, this workshop qualifies participants to attend Veriditas Facilitator Training at a later date (the next European opportunity is in Chartres, France in May 2020).

Veriditas is dedicated to inspiring personal and planetary change and renewal through the labyrinth experience.

We accomplish our mission by training and supporting labyrinth facilitators around the world, and offering meaningful events that promote further understanding of the labyrinth as a tool for personal and community transformation. Our Vision is that the labyrinth experience guides us in developing the higher level of human awareness we need to thrive in the 21st century.
