“Maps invite us to locate ourselves in relation to whatever they show, to enter the labyrinth that is each map and to find our way out by grasping what is mapped.” ~ Rebecca Solnit

Our shared journey through this global pandemic in many ways follows the contours of a labyrinthine journey. Disorientation at the outset, mindful steps negotiating a shared winding path, holding space for others, sheltering in the center, and wondering how and when to find our way back out again. In this livestream video workshop we’ll use the labyrinth as a map to explore the emotional trek we’ve been on in recent months and consciously envision our personal and common future.

Through a guided finger labyrinth walk we’ll locate ourselves in this chaotic time and utilize archetypal labyrinth designs as a framework to outline the emotional spaces we’ve circumnavigated. There will be time for introspection and small group listening to share stories of hope and sadness, isolation and connection, grief and solace. Out of these conversations we’ll create personal labyrinthine maps with words and colors that reflect our emotive journey.

Your guides are advanced labyrinth facilitators Maggie Perrone (Genuine Journeys), an emergency room nurse, and Lars Howlett (Discover Labyrinths), a professional labyrinth designer and builder. Maggie has been working on the front lines of the pandemic drawing from thirty years of experience teaching and healing those in difficult emotional, spiritual and physical situations. Lars creates, uses, and teaches labyrinth design for healing and transformation, helping to host and facilitate the weekly Veriditas finger labyrinth walks during the pandemic.

Join us for a day of listening to our inner compass, using the labyrinth as a map to navigate uncharted waters, and attend to where you are at the present moment. Set your sights on the horizon and envision how you will choose to move forward through this time of change and eventually emerge through a personal transformation.

A weekend virtual workshop exploring our relationship with the Sacred Feminine

The idea of meeting Mary wherever you are actually came to me many years ago. For the past 10 years, I have been offering a class called Meeting Mary in Chartres, France where Her presence is palpable.  In that class, we meet her in the cathedral, on the labyrinth, in song, in ritual, and in Her history.  But over the years, I have noticed that I end up meeting Her wherever I go.

The Mary we will encounter is not only the Biblical Mary (confined to a particular religion), but a universal embodiment of the Sacred Feminine attuned to the world we are living in just now.

Since travel is out of the question for this year, I am offering this 8 hour experience over the course of a weekend to explore what it means to truly meet Her.  In my experience She always meets us – in our homes, in our hearts, in our prayers.  She is ever present, fiercely compassionate, unconditionally loving, and constant.

We will begin on Friday August 28 - 5:30-7:30 PM PDT - setting our sacred circle, building our altars, and writing our prayers for the experience.

On Saturday and Sunday, we will meet from 3-6 PDT each day, learning the history of the Sacred Feminine through lecture and images , sharing writing practice, exploring the rosary and finger walking the labyrinth,

Reawakening to the principles and values of the Sacred Feminine is what this moment in our history is calling for.

    To prepare:

    • Have a finger labyrinth available or download a print copy here.
    • Build an altar for yourself with a candle and flowers and whatever sacred object represents Her.
    • Use a computer or laptop so we can see each other on the Zoom platform.

The class size will be limited to one Zoom screen - 23 of you – so we can all see each other on one screen.

    Sliding Scale cost of $159/$199/$240

This will be the launch for a series of study circle sessions on Meeting the Sacred Feminine -- spanning the year on Zoom.  We will meet 9 times, once a month, for 2 hours, exploring 9 different female deities and the archetypal qualities they embody.  Our small cohort will have the opportunity of creating a circle of exploration and sisterhood, listening for the perennial wisdom of deep feminine to chart our courses for personal and planetary healing.

Sunday afternoons from 1-3 pm pacific. Must be purchase the whole series.  Sliding scale of $360/$460/$560. Registration coming soon.

Judith Tripp, MA, MFT is a transpersonal psychotherapist, musician, pilgrimage leader and teacher.  She is on the board and faculty of Veriditas and is a certified labyrinth facilitator.  She has lead the Women's Dream Quest at Grace Cathedral and other venues around the globe for over 30 years.  She leads pilgrimages to Avalon, Iona and the Callanish Stones and teaches at Chartres with Veriditas.

In these uncertain times, we do not know if we will be able to offer our usual in person Quest in Grace Cathedral.  If large gatherings are still not allowed, we will use the Zoom platform to gather the circle with song, meditations, finger labyrinth walks, breakout groups with small group leaders and our usual rituals and ceremonies.

We will certainly need to gather in the circle three days after the election to Dream Into the Light.

Join us in early November to Dream our way into the Light.  In this intense year of turmoil, one thing we all need is more light— more illumination of our deepest knowledge, more sparkle in our busy minds, more ease and grace in our common destiny.  As always we will find each other in the Circle, held in the enduring beauty of Grace Cathedral, consoled and inspired by the glow of the sacred feminine.

The 32nd annual Women's Dream Quest offers a group of up to 80 women the rare opportunity of spending the night in Grace Cathedral.  Join us overnight for large and small group ritual, song, meditation, art and healing.

The goal of Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator Training is to prepare people to introduce others to the labyrinth in an articulate, professional and effective way. The training addresses meditative walking in a variety of settings, with a variety of different populations. It is focused primarily on the Eleven Circuit Medieval Labyrinth but is inclusive of all forms.

Walking the labyrinth is being embraced as a spiritual practice throughout the Western world mostly because of Veriditas trained facilitators. The Veriditas Facilitator Training -- which began in 1997 -- remains the most rigorous and comprehensive training offered.

How to know if Facilitator Training is right for you?

    • Want to deepen your own labyrinth practice?
    • Want the tools and guidance that will enable you to bring the labyrinth to your community?
    • Want to connect with a supportive community of Labyrinth Facilitators around the world?
    • Find yourself heading up a labyrinth program at your church, school, hospital, college etc. and need broad training and/or specific answers?
    • Considering offering labyrinth walking as part of your healing, counseling, yoga or  coaching business and are curious about the business considerations involved?
    • Love the labyrinth and want to offer workshops of your own? Consider completing Facilitator Training on the path to becoming Certified, Advance Trained and Accredited. Our Veriditas Accredited Presenters are now offering some of our qualifying workshops.

We encourage you to join us!

Please note: prior attendance at a Veriditas qualifying workshop is required. The online workshop prior to this training considered a qualifying workshop.
