The Feminine Face of the Sacred has always been alive here. From the days when Chartres was a sacred grove to the centuries of devotion to Mary during the Christian era, Chartres has provided us with inspiration. As the shining jewel of the Notre Dame Cathedrals that were constructed in medieval times, Chartres is the home of two remarkable statues of Mary, Our Lady of the Pillar and Notre Dame Sous Terre. It also houses the relic of Mary's gown prized since the ninth century Along with the labyrinth inlaid in the cathedral floor in 1201, these features of the Cathedral invoke the sacred feminine and help us in our search for the sacred.

Join us for three days of exploration of the feminine face of the sacred. We will provide lecture, meditation and writing practice, ritual and conversation surrounding an evening candlelit labyrinth walk which will be the high point of our time together. You will be encouraged to explore your pilgrim's soul and understand how the inspiration of this holy place can help in your search for the sacred and nourish your soul.
